December 14, 1939: "On complaint of Roy Studor, manager of the Forest Department of the Gould Paper Company at McKeever, Trooper G.B. Vaughn entered the wilderness in search of a person who had cut about 75 feet of telephone wire connecting the McKeever office with the company's camps and the tower at Woodhull Mountain.
The cut was found back in the woods about three miles, in the vicinity of Remson Falls. Trooper Vaughn made an investigation and learned that the work had been done by Frankwayne Bodley, 21, of Chitteango, who said he needed the wire to erect his tent.
