September 2, 1941: "Steel fire tower, which featured the state division of forestry's exhibit at the Ohio State Fair, was being dismantled Tuesday by a group of Camp Stony Creek enrollees under the direction of Foreman C.E. Shipley, Assistant State Forester John A. Bastian reported.
The 82-foot-six-inch tower will be erected near Keystone Furnaces in eastern Jackson county, Mr. Bastian said." (Chillicothe Gazette)
