1932: "A third association was established at Liberty Hill in Kershaw County. This is an extension of the Kershaw County Association and is handled by the Directors of that Association. An eighty foot steel lookout tower was erected at Liberty Hill overlooking three counties." (Report of the State Commission of Forestry, 10/1/1931-9/30/1932)
1937-38: "Tower unit buildings consisting of a four room dwelling, barn, smoke house, chicken house and latrine were constructed at five tower sites. Liberty Hill being one of these sites." (Report of the State Commission of Forestry, 7/1/1937 - 6/30/1938)
