October 28, 1929: "The fourth steel forest fire observation tower to be built in Virginia this year is nearing completion on Warm Springs Mountain in Bath County, according to Chapin Jones, State Forester of Virginia.
This steel structure 35 feet high has been built on Flag Rock near Warn Springs to replace an old wooden tower that had become dangerous, Mr. Jones explained." (Harrisonburg Daily News)
