1912: Site was developed for a lookout.
1932: A 41-foot International Derrick tower with a 7x7 cab was constructed.
1980: The tower is owned by the town, managed by volunteers and supported by private donors. The tower was given to Henniker in 1980 after it had been used for more than 40 years as a state run forest fire lookout." (Concord Monitor Online - October 4, 2018)
1997: Restoration of the tower began when the threat of the site being used for a cell tower.
