April 12, 1935: "One of the work projects of the past two weeks is the cutting and hauling of cottage or cabin logs.
These logs were out in the Houghton Lake State Forest and hauled to the Ogemaw State Forest where they will be used in building a 'towerman's cabin. This cabin is to serve as living quarters for the man of the fire tower in the Ogemaw State Forest." (Camp Houghton Lake C.C.C. News) (Clare Sentinel)
