September 21, 1950: "Governor Frederick G. Payne and the Executive Council today approved purchase for $600 of land and buildings in Aroostook County for a forestry department wardens headquarters. The new headquarters will be at Weston, 30 miles north of Houlton, near a newly-built fire tower on Peek-a-Boo Mountain." (Portland Press Herald)
